Da’wah-e-Deen & Tablighi Jamaat

Da’wah-e-Deen & Tablighi Jamaat

The Arabic term da‘wah means a call to Islam. The word da’wah is derived from the verb ‘da‘aa’ which means “to call; to invite; and to supplicate, i.e. to call on Allah (God)”. It is used to refer to the act of conveying or calling people to the message of Islam. Allah (God) Says:
“Say “This is my way : I do invite you to Allah on evidence clear as the seeing with one’s eyes – I and whoever follows me : Glory to Allah  and never will I join gods with Allah!“ [Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 12 Yusuf : verse 108]

Da‘wah was the basic missions of all the prophets of Allah(God). They were raised up among their respective people to call them to worship Allah alone and to abandon the worshipping of the various false Gods and Goddesses that they had invented.

Allah the Almighty Says,
“For We assuredly sent amongst every people a messenger, (with the command) “Serve Allah, and eschew evil:”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 16 An-Nahl : verse 36]

There are many verses in the Qur’an which describe how the former prophets invited their people to Allah(God). These stories serve as examples to the last Prophet (sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam) and his followers. Moreover, there are a number of other verses in which Allah(God) specifically exhorts the Prophet (sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam) to convey the message of Islam to people. Allah the Most High, the Creator and the Sustainer of the heaven and earth commanded His Prophet (sallallaahu a’laihe wa sallam), to spread the message of Islam:
       “O Messenger, Proclaim the (Message) which has been sent to you from your Lord.”          [Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 5 Al-Ma’idah : verse 67];

“Invite (all) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good beautiful preaching[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 16 An-Nahl : verse 125] also

“And let nothing keep you back from the signs of Allah after they have been revealed to you : and invite (men) to your lord and be not of the company of those who join gods with Allah.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 28 Al-Qasas : verse 87]

Consequently, Allah (God) praises those who engage in this noble venture as being the best in speech.
“Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness and says I am of those who bow in Islam.”
                                           [Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 41  Fussilat : verse 33]

The best words that any human being can speak are words of guidance inviting people to the purpose of their creation; the worship of Allaah (God). This is the case, the reward for giving da‘wah must be wonderful. Thus, it is no surprise to find that the Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) addressed the great reward for this righteous pursuit saying,
“Whoever directs someone to do good will gain the same reward as the one who does good.                    ”(Sahih Muslim, vol. 3, no. 4665).

He was also reported to have said,
“Whoever calls to guidance will receive the same reward as the one who follows him without any decrease in the reward of [his follower].”
(Sahih Muslim, vol. 4, no. 6470)

To carry out the work of the mission, the companions of the Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) volunteered to go out with the Da’wah-e- Deen, the message of Islam not only to the communities but also to the countries around the world to call all the human beings toward their Creator the Almighty Allaah subhanahu wa ta’la.

Da‘wah is an obligation on everyone who has the physical, financial ability and the knowledge about Islam, from the scholars to Muslim rulers to spread the message of Islam to the people in every corner of the earth. Because this is the type of spreading that

Thus, it was obligatory on the Messenger (sallaallahu a’laihe wa salllam) to deliver the message in the same way that has become obligatory on all of us the followers of the messengers of Allaah (God) – peace and blessings of Allaah upon them and upon all who follow them in conveying the message and this is the da’wah-e-Deen.

Allaah subhanahu wa ta’la Says,
“Let there arise among you a group of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the one attain felicity.”
                                                         [Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 3 Al-Imraan :  verse 104]
that is Allaah the Most High intends a group of the believers should shoulder the responsibility of promoting the preaching Islam and prohibiting the vice in themselves and the humanity. Because religion is not merely a personal affair as perceived in the secular West, it forms the very fabric of society.

Allaah subhanahu wa ta’la the Most High Says,
“O you who believe why do you say that which you do not do. Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which do not do.
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – As-Saff 61: Ayah 2 & 3]

We find the deifinition of Allaah (the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful) who is Allaah and what is Allah’s whereabout.!! In Surah Al-Ikhlaas
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 112 Al-Ikhlas – verses 1- 4] Allah subhanahu wa ta’la commanded His Prophet (sallallahu a’laie wa sallam):
“Say: He is Allah the Unique, and only; Allah the eternal, Absolute. He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 112 Al-Ikhlass – verses 1 to 4]

The Prophet (sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam) also instructedhis companions and the followers to invite people to Islam and says,
“Convey from me, even if it be only a single verse.
                                                                ”
 (Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol. 4, no. 667).

This is known as “Da’wah-e-Deen or tablig-e-Deen” to spread Islam to the humanity ordained revealed by Allaah (subhanahu wa ta’la) through the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam) in 610 CE.

“Tabligh means “propagation of Islam.” (Imam Irshad Soofi),
“Tablighi Jamaat” means,“the Society for spreading faith)”
The movement primarily aims at Tablighi spiritual reformation by working at the grass roots level, reaching out to Muslims across all social and economic spectra to bring them closer to Islam.
             ‘Tablighi Jamaat was founded in 1926 by Muhammad Ilyas al-Kandhlawi in India 1296 years after the death of Prophet Muhammad (sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam);
therefore, it is a new movement with new ideas apart from what the Holy Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) and his companions used to do. Though the propagation of Islam continued even after the Holy Prophet (sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam), yet as claimed the operation of Tablighi Jamamt does not have any physical link with that of the
Tablig-e-Deen of the Prophet (Sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam).

According to the books ‘Tabligi Nesab’ as well as ‘Fazail-e-Amal’ (in English) ‘Virtues of Good Deeds’ mainly used by the Tablighi Jamat; contain some Islamic religious text, a compilation of selected chapters from various books, written in Urdu such as by the Indian scholar Maulana Muhammad Zakariya Kandhlawi.

“Calling to Allaah is generally considered by scholars of Islam as an obligation on every Muslim according to their physical, financial and spiritual abilities. It has been instructed by Allaah in the Qur’aan and by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallaallahu ‘alaihe wa salllam) in his Sunnah. Opportunities for Da’wah are limitless for the person whom Allaah blesses with a love of Islam……”  (Sk. A. Azeez Baaz).

It is evident that the members of the newly founded Tablighi Jamaat mostly invite muslims to their ‘Jamaat’ only and rarely meet or approach any non-Muslim nor invite them to Islam! Obviously though, it is good to invite members of Muslim faith to learn and practice Islam as a Muslim should; But ‘Da’wah-e-Deen’ Islam is not what the Tablighi Jamaat does. They might be selling milk, but selling mixing water with that milk!

They made 3, 10 and 3 Chillah of 40 days each obligatory to its members. In every chillah members have to cut-off all contact with their family members or defendants.  They believe each chillah makes the members completely sinleass like a new-born child. The way they perform it no doubt is Bidah! That destroys their whole  work as SINFUL.

Apart from that the ‘AQIDAH’ they form in their belief and spreading is totally unIslamic. They formed and ‘Aqidah’ and believe, people who do not accept what they do shall never go to heaven becaues they are as they say, Gumrah and are not Muslims. From my personal experience I am obliged to state here that in 1989 I went to the Albert Road Mosque in Birmingham UK to Friday Juma’ prayer, I heard, one scholar from Pakistan (?) preached saying,

“In the Day of final Judgement, we all the human being shall be there saying ‘Ea Nafsi’ Ea Nafsi, shall be fearful and thirsty. At  that moment, our habib Muhammad (pbuh) will appear there and look for the members of his ‘ummah’.

All the members of his ‘ummah’ shall be identified by their shining parts of body (hands and face) we wash while to perform ablution in this life. Our habib the Prophet (pbuh) will call some angels and ask them to provide holy water (of Abe Kawsar) to all of his ‘ummah’. At that moment, the Angels shall beg to say,
‘Ya Muahammad, these people definitely are the members of your ‘ummah’ but most of them did not join or support the movement of ‘Tablighi Jamaat.’ in their life time in dunia!
Then the Prophet (pbuh) will say, “If this is the case, do not give these people a single drop of holy water from my ‘abe kawsar’ and will not do them ‘shafa’at’ before the Allaah(swt)(!)

What he meant? As I understood, if you do not become a member of Tablighi Jamaat in this life, you cannot even hope to be gifted with ‘shafa’at’ (recommendation) of the Holy Prophet (sallaallahu a’laihe wa sallam) and will definitely go into the ‘Jahannam’ (Hell). What a astonishing news !!!! From where these stories they found?

Six so-called Principles the method adopted by Muhammad Ilyas was simple. It was to organize units (called jama’at, Arabic: جماعتِ ‎ meaning Assembly) of at least ten persons and send them to various villages. This unit  of jama’at, would visit a village, invite the local Muslims only to assemble in the mosque and present their message in the form of Six Principles. Muhammad Ilyas articulated six demands in the form of Six Principles which are quintessential to Tabligh Jama’at’s teachings. Those principles are:

Tableeghi Jamaat’s 6 points Principle to followed by its members.
They are:
“1. Kalmah: An article of faith in which the tablighi accepts that there is no God but Allaah and the Prophet Muhammad is His last messenger”. This Kalima is for all Muslims and is not restricted to Tablighis only.

“2. Salah: “Five daily prayers that are essential to spiritual evaluation, piety, and a life free from the ills of the material world”

“3. Ilm and Zikr: “The knowledge and remembrance of Allah conducted in sessions in which the congregation listens to preaching by the emir, performs prayers, recites the Quran and reads Hadith. The congregation will also use these sessions to eat meals together, thus fostering a sense of community and identity”

“4. Ikraam-e-Muslim: “The treatment of fellow Muslims with honour and deference”

“5. Tas’hih-i-Niyyat: “Reforming one’s life in supplication to Allaah by performing every human action for the sake of Allaah and toward the goal of self-transformation”

“6. Dawt’o’ Tableegh(Dawah): “The sparing of time to live a life based on faith and learning its virtues, following in the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad, and taking His message door-to-door for the sake of faith.” (Wikipedia)

These six point principles are adopted by the scholars in Tableeghi Jamaat on their own some of them referred to some Ahadiths.

CHILLAH:
40 Days’ Chillah(!)

Chillah of (40 days and nights) observance in a gorillas’ way of life. The Definition of Chillah’  (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) To stay away from the family and from all contract, phone or text messaging, good or bad with all the members of family and  of all earthly affairs and  friends. Performing a Single 40 days’ Chillah  as the members say destroy all the sins of the chillah performers and become same as getting rebirth from his mothers womb!

Chillah is not an Arabic word, but may refer to:  Chilla (Rajaji National Park), a wilderness area in Rajaji National Park in India.   Chilla katna, in Hindustani classical music, chilla or chilla katna is a stage of training.  Chilla-nashini, (Persian) a Sufi practice of penance and solitude.  Chilla Saroda Bangar, a census town in East Delhi District in India. Chilla (kingdom), one of the tributary states of the Aztec Empire.  Chilla, an Indian pancake, made with gram flour batter, popular street and fast food.

These are what the Tablighi Jamat people say:

“GOING OUT FOR CHILLAH (40 DAYS) IN A JAMAAT:

Another remedy for pride is to spend some time with the Tablighi Jamaat for ones spiritual self-reformation (Islaah). During this time one should be punctual with zikr and be obedient to the Ameer (the leader of the group). Upon the request of the Ameer, one should keep giving talks as well. However, the talk should not be delivered with the intention of propagation and admonition but rather with the intention of one’s own reformation and with the intention of obedience to the Ameer of the group.

All the means of eliminating pride and evil characteristics are found in this work of Tabligh. For instance, sacrificing one’s beloved environment and leaving out one’s necessary engagements. Instead of earning wealth, one spends in this path in a manner wherein there is no show and ostentation. Most of the wealth is spent on one’s personal needs. The companionship of the pious is obtained wherein the Hereafter is discussed at all times, death is remembered and ways are adopted for achieving mutual love.

“Carrying one’s own bedding, clothings, even some cooking  utencils  and moving from place to place, serving other weak companions for the sake of Allah Ta’ala, preparing one’s own meals, eating with the other members, washing one’s own utensils, travelling on foot, sleeping on the floor in the Musjid(Mosques), sometimes tolerating the heat and cold, sometimes suffering hunger and thirst and sometimes the irregular hours of sleeping, etc. All these physical sacrifices break the strength of the nafs. Then in ‘Gushts’, tolerating the unpleasant speech of the people, adopting humility with them for the sake of Allaah Ta’ala, passionately endeavouring and vexing oneself to explain to them and convince them and pleading and flattering them.”    (Re: Ummah Forum).

According to the ‘Rules’ of Tablighi Jamat, becoming a perfect member of Tablighi Jamat one has to perform  3(three) Chillah of 40 days and nights each. To do a Chillah, one has to leave his family and local home town or union area. It is up to the Ameer of the group, who is to select a places or towns must be far away from these peoples’ home town so that no contact can be made with their families! While leaving home and family, they do not have to care about their family members and their maintenance and wel-beings, which is importantly required when a Muslims goes to perform fard Hajj. Chillah members are not allowed even to keep their mobile phone with them, so that they cannot make any contact whatsoever with their dependents and relatives!

Their family members should be left absolutely on the mercy of Allah. So, heartlessly though no money or food item is to be left for that 40 days and nights for their family and the persons dependent on them!

The Tablighi Jamat’s people do refer their doing the Chillah to the following verses of Qur’an al kareem. I do not have any idea how they can fit their Chillah to the verses they refer to:

5:26 Answered He: “Then, verily, this [land] shall be forbidden to them for forty years, while they wander on earth, bewildered, to and fro; and sorrow thou not over these iniquitous folk.”

7:142 AND [then] We appointed for Moses thirty nights [on Mount Sinai ]; and We added to them ten, whereby the term of forty nights set bye, his Sustainer was fulfilled. [104] And Moses said unto his brother Aaron: “Take thou my place among my people; and act righteously, and follow not the path of the spreaders of corruption.”

Members of Tablighi Jamat claim doing Chillah is Sunnah; but they never refer to any Ahadeeths. Because neither the Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) nor his sahabiah observe such Chillah. Chillah word does not come from the Arabic language. Therefore, the word and the observance of Chillah distance from the holy Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) or his companions and is Bidhah hence is sinful.

Tableeghi Jamaat is exposed.

“The movement of Tableeghi Jamaat is being utilised by the enemies of Islam as an effective instrument in their struggle to prevent the emergence of a true Islamic movement in Europe and elsewhere in the world. Therefore, it is incumbent on all Muslims to disown it and discourage its activity in every way. The British were continually looking for ways of infiltrating and subverting Islam. They kept, through their comprehensive spy network, a very careful eye, on any new Muslim group and movement. The Tableeghi Jamaat was set up under the British Rule in India. After closely watching the Jamaat for some time, the British realised that here was exactly what they were looking for, a movement that totally absorbed the energy of its members and yet did not threaten British domination in any way as the doctrine of Jihad was totally absent in this movement. They saw that instead of the Jamaat’s directing their energies outwardly towards their legitimate Kaafir enemies, was now directed inwardly towards the rest of the Muslims. Therefore, it was a group that was allowed to flourish. This news was spread to other interested parties.

THEIR BRAND OF TRUE ISLAM:
The book that is held by many among the Tableeghi Jamaat to be as important as the study of the Quran itself is the “Teachings of Islam.” In “Teachings of Islam” the Jamaat says that there is “NO WAY to gain honour, happiness, peace and tranquillity in this life OTHER THAN to adopt and firmly hold on to the work and system of Tabligh.” This statement shows that the Tableeghi Jamaat wants to be an exclusive sect of Muslims, which excludes all other Muslims who do not follow its peculiar definition of what it means to convey the message of Islam, a definition which is clearly and erroneous and far removed from the one which Allah gives in the Quran. One can only conclude from this statement that all other Muslims are considered by them to be misguided. About 98percent members possess less or no education.

If one reads through their five point action plan which the author of “Teachings of Islam” says that one must put into practice and “will automatically ensure the growth and expansion of Islam in its true form.” He claims that this is the Prophetic method and was followed by their ancestors and early Muslims. If one looks deeply, this five point action plan meets the complete approval of the enemies of Islam, since there is no mention anywhere of anything which might even slightly inconvenience a Kaafir government. How different this is from the actual practice of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)!

From the day the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) made his Prophethood public, the very people who held him in high regards became hostile to him. Whenever the message of Islam is truly conveyed, it strikes at the very roots of every other system with which it comes into contact. How different is the case with the Tableeghi Jamaat. The British Weekly, “The Economist”, the mouthpiece of the Kufaar, in its article entitled “The Other Side of Islam” pays glowing tribute to the Tableeghi Jamaat, saying, “So long as such movements exist, and attract millions of Muslims, essential Islam remains alive and well.” Even the Kaafir authorities positively welcome what is happening, as they clearly do in the case of the Tableeghi Jamaat, because they know that other than the true Islam is being propagated.

Their brand of true Islam only centres around Ijtima, Ghust, Chilla and Kitaab reading. To them, Moulood, Urs Celebrations, Esaale Sawaab, the Recitation of Salaams, visiting of the Mazaars of Awliya Allah, etc. are all Shirk and Bid’at.

The members of TABLEEGHI JAMAATS do not:

TABLEEGHI JAMAATS ROLE IN KUFAAR COUNTRIES:
The thousands of members of the Tableeghi Jamaat are utilising all their energy exclusively inwards towards other Muslims and leaves the Kaafir powers to pursue their Godless exploitation of the Muslims completely unimpeded. They have defined Jihad to be “spreading the Kalima of Allaah and enforcing of Allah’s Commandments.” (Teachings of Islam). In the very same book, under the heading of “General Principles”, the following point is made – “No controversial matter or points of secondary importance to be discussed at any time …. and confine all talk to the main points of Tabligh.” Thus, a programme originally designed to ensure that the adherents of Tableeghi Jamaat did not come into conflict with the British authorities in India has now been extended to include all aspects of Kufaar domination in the world. The members of the Jamaat are actually forbidden to question it at all. No wonder the enemies of Islam are delighted.

This is the reason why the Tableeghi Jamaat moves freely in Kufaar countries in Europe and the rest of the world, while other Muslims are being imprisoned, tortured, and killed on a daily basis. In Israel, under Zionist control, the Jamaat is allowed free access to any part to do “Allah’s Work” while Palestinian men, women and children, who are opposing Zionist rule, are tortured and killed.

It is also not surprising that under the Apartheid government in South Africa and under the cruel “State of Emergency” in which gatherings were restricted and carefully monitored under the vigilant eye of the then police force, the Ijtima’s used to draw crowds of thousands of devotees – and there was not a single policeman in sight. It is obvious. With the type of Islam that they portrayed of being completely subservient to Kufaar politics and their rejection of Jihad in all its practical aspects, this Jamaat was not even considered as a threat. Not a word was uttered by the Jamaat’s leaders condemning the then Apartheid regime. This is their policy throughout the world – do not condemn the Kufaar and the Kufaar governments!

TABLEEGHI JAMAAT’S ROLE UNDER PUPPET MUSLIM GOVERNMENTS:
The Jamaat has also flourished under the puppet governments of Muslim countries who rule in the name of they Kaafir paymasters (Israel, America, Britain, France, etc.) – thousands upon thousands as well-behaved, submissive Muslims praying in their mosques, quite content to live under a system which is opposed to Islam in every way and which is openly dedicated to the suppression of true Islam wherever it emerges.

SOME OF THEIR MAKRUH? PRACTICES

(1) EATING AND SLEEPING IN MOSQUES :
Uninvited, they take over the local mosques for days at a time, sleeping and eating in them and imposing their own programme in complete disregard of the actual needs and on-going organisation of the community concerned.

(2) RECRUITMENT DRIVES:
They also cause great offence to Muslims in the way that they disrupt the worship in the mosques they visit by they announcements immediately after the Fard prayers and their offensive recruitment drives. As a result of which is to keep away from the mosque many people who would normally be present. They encourage and force poorer ignorant Muslims to leave their family and places of work for 3, 10, 20, 40, etc. days and go out for Ghast, while they themselves, belonging to the upper strata in society have accumulate enough wealth to live comfortable lives. We often hear their women-folk, of course, after being brainwashed by their husbands, as saying “Allah will give us Jannat for allowing our husbands to go in the path of Allah.”

(3) THEY REGARD ALL OTHERS AS INFERIOR MUSLIMS:
They always treat those not in the Jamaat as inferior beings in need of guidance. They often repeat the same speeches regardless of the people that they are speaking to. Much of their activity is based on having a bad opinion of Muslims, something in fact forbidden by Allah and completely contrary to the Messenger (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), who, as we know, refused to listen to anything that would give him a bad opinion of any of the Muslims. In “Teachings of Islam” they condemn all Muslims as only being involved in vice and sinning. Besides, 99.9% of their devotees in South Africa belong to the Gujrati community and look down upon other ethnic groups!

(4) IGNORING THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM TO BE GIVEN TO THE KUFAAR:
They address their message solely to Muslims, the vast majority of whom are as knowledgeable or more knowledgeable than they themselves are, ignoring the Kaafir populations among whom they move, who actually are the people to whom the message should be directed. Allah’s words are frequently, and sometimes specifically, directed towards the Kufaar and the efforts of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and the Companions (radiya’allahu ‘anhum ajma’een) were devoted to conveying Islam to them (kuffar). Even when they visit the African townships, their only aim is to “convert” the poorer African Muslims (who have already reverted to Islam) to their brand of Islam. In fact, they do not even pass the message of Islam to the non-Muslims in the townships.

(5) LARGE NUMBERS THAT ATTEND THE IJTIMA:
If the leaders of the Tableeghi Jamaat are sincere, let them hold their next annual gathering on the East bank of Jordan and let them cross the river and march to Al-Quds and liberate it from Jewish/Zionist occupation. Let them hold their Ijtima near the Babri Masjid in India and counter-attack the might of Hindu extremist and capture the mosque. Lem them hold their Ijtima near the Shia’ centre in Ottawa and take over the centre in defence of true Sunni beliefs. They would not! The Jamaat is only interested in increasing its number and wasting the energy of thousand and thousand of Muslims.

When the Tableeghi Jamaat is asked about their complete indifference to the dominance of the Kufaar, they say “We are not yet strong enough to do anything yet.” Yet, they boast of the large numbers that attend their Ijtima’s. The Quran says that if you are a hundred, steadfast, you will overcome two hundred and if there are a thousand of you, you will overcome two thousand by Allah’s permission (Surah al-Anfal: 65-6). The Tableeghi Jamaat’s lack of strength cannot be considered as a valid excuse.

And speaking about the mass Nikahs that take place at the Ijtimas, which is by the way, a meeting place of the rich upper class, the grooms are immediately shoved off to sleep in some mosque for 40 days. And after 40 days, these “spiritually enlightened” individuals qualify as Molvis!

THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS:

The Jamaat claims that it is a Sunnah of the Prophets and the Sahaba and, on the other hands, it says that Molvi Ilyas is the founder of this movement. The questions we ask, are

1.       If, in reality, this is a Sunnah of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as claimed, then it must be proven by authentic Islamic books that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and his Sahaba also used to form Jamaats and do Chillah, Ghast and Tableegh of Kalimah and Namaaz (Salah) amongst Muslims.

2.     Why was this Sunnah ignored for 1419 years? Do we classify all the past spiritual luminaries as anti-Sunnah?

3.      If this is a Sunnah practice, then surely Molvi Ilyas cannot be its founder. But, if he is the founder, then obviously this type of Tableegh did not exist before him. It is a Bid’ah!

It is the religious duty of the members of Tableeghi Jamaat to clarify the position with their Tableegh work and deceiving the Muslim community. The answers are obvious. This is a new movement founded by a Molvi Ilyas and definitely not a Sunnah.

THE AQEEDA OF THE TABLEEGHI JAMAAT

To have good and strong Imaan, one must have the proper Aqeeda. It is for this reason that we quote a few un-Islamic beliefs of the leaders of the Tableeghi Jamaat together with the proper Islamic answers. The present Molvis and devotees of the T. Jamaat refuse to condemn the persons who wrote such bad beliefs and to even disassociate themesleves from such false beliefs. The un-Islamic beliefs which we have quoted below are quotations from those individuals who possess such beliefs and by writing them in this handbill, we have no intention of Kufr.

FALSE BELIEF 1: “Allah can speak lies”. (“Barahine Qaatia” by Khaleel Ambetwi; “Yakrozi” by Ismaeel Dehlwi; “Fatawa Rasheedia” by Rasheed Ahmed Gangohi).

ANSWER: Lies is a defect which is not worthy of the Zaat of Almighty Allah and is totally Muhaal (Impossible) for Almighty Allah. Allah is free from all shortages and defects thus making lies Muhaal for Almighty Allah.

FALSE BELIEF 2: “The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) had died and is mixed in the sand.” (“Taqweeyat-ul Imaan” by Ismaeel Dehlwi).

ANSWER: It has been stated in the Hadith: “Verily, Almighty Allah has made it Haraam upon the earth to eat the bodies of the Ambiya”. It has also been stated that Ambiya are alive and are blessed with Sustenance from Almighty Allah.

FALSE BELIEF 3: “Every creation, no matter how big or small, is equivalent to a cobbler before Allah.” (“Taqweeyat-ul Imaan” by Ismaeel Dehlwi).

ANSWER: The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the most beloved Nabi of Almighty Allah. Almighty Allah took Qasm (Oath) even on the city of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). He is the greatest of the creations of Almighty Allah. His every word is accepted in the Court of Allah. He is a perfection in the Attributes of Almighty Allah and Allah has not created any unique being besides Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).

FALSE BELIEF 4: “To think of an ox and donkey in Salaah is permissible, but to think of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in Salaah is Shirk (Polytheism).” (“Seerate Mustaqeem” by Ismaeel Dehlwi).

ANSWER: For a Muslim to perform any Ibaadat accepting that it is a noble action of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the true sense of Ibaadat. If one reads Namaaz thinking of it as the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), then, without doubt, one will think of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). This belief creates in the mind of the performer the thought of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Not only is the thought of the Prophet in Namaaz permissible, it is also the demand of Shari’ah that one must remember the Holy Prophet (salall laahu alaihi wasallam) at the time of Tasha’hud. According to the Fuqaha (Jurists) it is Waajib to believe that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is observing you and that he is aware of your actions.

FALSE BELIEF 5: Any person who says the Nabi to be Haazir and Naazir is a Kaafir. (“Jawaahirul Quraan” by Ghulaamullah Khan).

ANSWER: Until and unless we do not accept Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as being Haazir and Naazir, the concept of Risaalat will be incomplete. Our Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is Shaahid, Mubashir and Nazeer.

FALSE BELIEF 6: To commemorate the Meelad is like commemorating the function of the Hindu deity. (“Baharine Qaatia” by Khaleel Ambethwi).

ANSWER: Meelad is a means of gaining blessings and closeness to Almighty Allah. It is the practice of all the great predecessors. Many sources of Shari’ah are available to prove it’s authencity. In fact, Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) observed fast on Monday as he was born on a Monday.

FALSE BELIEF 7: If Allah wills, then he may create a million Muhammads. (“Taqweeyatul Imaan”) A Prophet can even come after Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). (“Tahzeerun Naas”)

ANSWER: The doors of Prophethood have been sealed. Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the Seal of Prophethood. The Prophet also said that no Prophet shall come after him. Any person who claims Nabuwat after the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is a Liar, Dajjal Kazaab and a Shaitaan.

FALSE BELIEF 8: “Rahmatul Lil Alameen” (Mercy unto the Worlds) is not a special title of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), but the Ummati are also “Rahmatul Lil Alameen”. (“Fatawa Rasheedia”)

ANSWER: “Rahmatul Lil Alameen” is the unique quality of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as stated in the Holy Quran.

Note: To believe all these above mentioned false “Islamic” beliefs makes one a hypocrite, and one is included in the ranks of the Shia, Rafazi, Khaarijite, Qadiani, Ghair-Muqallid (Ahle Hadith), Tabligi, Deobandi, Maudoodi, Ahle Quran (People of Quran), etc. which are totally out of Islam. Any person who falsely claims to be the true Mahdi is misguided and a Faasiq. Any person who says that Allah can lie, that the Prophet’s (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) knowledge are like those of animals, that the Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is not the Final Messenger, that the swearing of the Sahaba does not make one a criminal, that the Prophet’s knowledge is less than Shaitaan, etc. IS A KAAFIR (totally out of the folds of Islam). We should not perform Salaah or associate with such persons as their companionship is detrimental to our Imaan.

The members of Tableeghi Jamaat have become extremely unpopular with many communities of Muslims throughout the world and even in South Africa. However, many continue to tolerate them. In fact, what they do, in the manner of Christian evangelists, is to play on the guilt of insecure people and then offer them an emotional environment in which they can redeem themselves and find others in a similar plight who are ready for the same treatment. Such “conversions” are frequently very superficial and sometimes superficially quite dangerous for the individuals concerned.

As we have seen, the ludicrous claim is made that the programme of the Tableeghi Jamaat comprises in every respect the way followed by the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and his Companions (radia’llahu ‘anhum ajma’een), in their establishment of Islam. In fact, the opposite is true. From its inception, the programme of the Tableeghi Jamaat was designed, while giving the appearance of Islamic activity, to leave in place the very Kaafir forces whose explicit intention was precisely the prevention of the establishment of Islam in any real way. In the light of all the foregoing:

1. We declare that the Tableeghi Jamaat is, by its own admission, a deviant sect of Islam and that it is being used by the enemies of Islam to help them in their continuing battle to prevent governance by the laws of Allah from being re-established in the world.

2. We therefore call on the leadership of the Tableeghi Jamaat to acknowledge that they are directly responsible for the misguidance of millions of Muslims and to abandon their present programme which only furthers the interest of the enemies of Allah.

3. We therefore call on all members of the Tableeghi Jamaat to reject the subversive role they have been unwittingly persuaded to play and leave this sect which is being used by the enemies of Islam to prevent Allah’s Deen being restored and governance by His Laws re-established.

4. We therefore call on all Muslims to disown the Tableeghi Jamaat and to discourage its activities by refusing to give its members permission to sleep in mosques and to use them for their activities. And we call on all Muslims to reject the modernist perspective of Islam that they have been given to and respond to Allah and His Messenger (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) by giving their wealth and lives to see the totality of Islam once again re-established on the earth. What is the ruling on the 40 days and 4 months to the different part of world to call Muslim brothers towards duties of islam.

“Jamaa’at al-Tableegh” is one of the groups that are working for Islam. Their efforts in calling people to Allah (Da’wah) cannot be denied. But like many other groups they make some mistakes, and some points should be noted concerning them. These points may be summed up as follows, noting that these mistakes may vary within this group, depending on the environment and society in which they find themselves.

1 – Not adopting the ‘aqeedah of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah. This is clearly seen from the variations in the ‘aqeedah of some of their members and even of some of their leaders.

2 – Their not paying attention to shar’i knowledge.

3 – Their misinterpretation of some Qur’ânic verses in a manner that was not intended by Allaah. For example they interpret the verses on jihad as referring to “going out for Da’wah”. The verses which mentioned the word khurooj (going out) etc. are interpreted by them as meaning going out for Da’wah.

4 – They make their system of going out for Da’wah an act of worship. So they started to misquote the Qur’ân to support their system which specifies certain numbers of days and months. This system, which they think is based on evidence from Qur’ân, is widespread among them in all countries and environments.

5 – They do some things that go against sharee’ah, such as appointing one of them to make du’aa’ for them whilst the group goes out for Da’wah, and they think that their success or failure depends on whether or not this man was sincere and his du’aa’ accepted.

6 – Da’eef (weak) and Mawdoo’ (fabricated) ahaadeeth are widespread among them, and this is not befitting for those who aim to call people to Allaah.

7 – They do not speak of munkaraat (evil things), thinking that enjoining what is good is sufficient. Hence we find that they do not speak about evils that are widespread among the people, even though the slogan of this ummah – which they continually repeat – is:

“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma‘roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful”  [Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 3 Aal ‘Imraan : verse 104″ – interpretation of the meaning]

“Let there arise among you a group of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the one attain felicity.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem –  Chapter no. 3 Al-Imraan : verse 104] – by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.

The successful are those who enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, not just those who do only one of the two.

8 – Some of them fall into self-admiration and arrogance, which leads them to look down on others, and even to look down on the scholars and describe them as inactive and sleeping, or to show off. So you find them talking about how they went out and travelled, and they saw such and such, which leads to unfavourable results, as we have mentioned.

9 – They regard going out for Da’wah as better than many acts of worship such as jihad and seeking knowledge, even though those things are obligatory duties, or may be obligatory for some people but not others.

10 – Some of them audaciously issue fatwas, and discuss tafseer and hadeeth. That is because they allow each one of them to address the people and explain to them. This leads to them speak audaciously on matters of sharee’ah. So the inevitably speak of the meaning of a ruling, hadeeth or verse when they have not read anything about it, or listened to any of the scholars. And some of them are new Muslims or have only recently come back to Islam.

11- Some of them are negligent with regard to the rights of their children and wives.

Hence the scholars do not allow people to go out with them, except for those who want to help them and correct the mistakes that they have fallen into.

We should not keep the people away from them altogether, rather we must try to correct their mistakes and advise them so that their efforts will continue and they will be correct according to the Qur’ân and Sunnah.

There follows the fatwas of some of the scholars concerning Jamaa’at al-Tableegh:

1 – Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz said:
Jamaa’at al-Tableegh do not have proper understanding of the issues of ‘aqeedah, so it is not permissible to go out with them, except for one who has knowledge and understanding of the correct ‘aqeedah of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah, so that he can guide them and advise them, and cooperate with them in doing good, because they are very active, but they need more knowledge and someone who can guide them of those who have knowledge of Tawheed and the Sunnah. May Allah bless us all with proper understanding of Islam and make us steadfast in adhering to it.
[Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz, 8/331]

2 – Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan said:
Going out for the sake of Allah does not refer to the kind of going out that they mean nowadays. Going out for the sake of Allah means going out to fight. What they call going out nowadays is a bid’ah (innovation) that was not narrated from the salaf.

Going out to call people to Allah cannot be limited to a certain number of days, rather one should call people to Allah according to one’s abilities, without limiting that to a group or to forty days or more or less than that.

Similarly the daa’iyah must have knowledge. It is not permissible for a person to call people to Allaah when he is ignorant. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say “(O Muhammad) “this is my way; I invite unto Allah(swt) – on evidence clear as the seeing with one’s eyes (i.e. to the Oneness of Allah(swt) — Islamic Monotheism)  I with sure knowledge and whoever follows me: Glory to Allah!  And never will join Gods with Allah”  [Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 12 Yusuf : verse108]

That is., with knowledge, because the caller must know that to which he calls people, what is obligatory, mustahabb, haraam and makrooh. He has to know what shirk, sin, kufr, immorality and disobedience are; he has to know the degrees of denouncing evil and how to do it.

The kind of going out that distracts people from seeking knowledge is wrong, because seeking knowledge is an obligation, and it can only be achieved by learning, not by inspiration. This is one of the misguided Sufi myths, because action without knowledge is misguidance, and hoping to acquire knowledge without learning is an illusion. From Thalaath Mihaadaraat fi’l-‘Ilm wa’l-Da’wah.

Shaykh, Muhammed Ibn Ibraaheem Aal-ash-Shaykh in warning against the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh

From Muhammed Ibn Ibraaheem to his excellency Prince Khaalid Ibn Sa’ood, leader of the Royal Court, as-Salaam ‘Alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuhu, to proceed:

I received the noble correspondence of your excellency (No.36/4/5-D on 21/1/1382 A.H) and that which it contains of the request directed to his excellency, the king, from Muhammed Ibn ‘Abdul-Haamid al-Qaadiree, Shaah Ahmad Nooraanee, ‘Abdus-Salaam al-Qaadiree and Sa’ood Ahmad Dahlawee regarding their request for assistance in the project of their organisation which they have named (Kulliyyatud-Daw’ah wat-Tableegh al-Islaamiyyah) – and also the pamphlets that have been enclosed with their request.

I inform your excellency that there is no good in this organisation for certainly it is an organisation of innovation and falsehood which I have discovered by reading their pamphlets which were attached to their requests. We found it to comprise of falsehood, innovation and the inviting to the worshipping of graves and shirk. Quite simply, something which (we) cannot remain quiet about.

Therefore, we shall (inshaa-Allaah) put forward a refutation revealing their misguidance and falsehood.

We ask Allaah(swt) to assist his religion and make high His Word, was-Salaam ‘Alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuhu [S-M-405 on 29/1/1382 A.H].

Shaykh Muhammed Naasiruddeen al-Albaanee regarding the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh

He (rahima-hullaah) was asked:
“What is your opinion concerning the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh? Is it permissible for a student of knowledge or other than him to go out with them under the guise of inviting to (the path of) Allah(swt)?”

So he responded: The Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh does not uphold the manhaj of the Book of Allah (swt) and the Sunnah of His Messenger(pbuh) and that which our Salaf as-Saalih were upon.

And if the situation was such, then it is not permissible to go out with them because it defies our manhaj in calling to the manhaj of the Salaf as-Saalih. So in the path of inviting to Allah, then an ‘aalim (one who is knowledgeable) can go out with them but as for those (ignorant – without knowledge) who go out with them, then it is obligatory upon them to remain in their countries and (study Islaam) seek knowledge in their masaajid until there graduates from amongst them people of knowledge who hold study circles inviting to the path of Allah(swt).

As long as the situation is like that, it is upon the student of knowledge to invite these people (those from Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh) to study the Book of Allaah(swt) and the Sunnah and invite people to it.

And the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh, with respect to da’wah to the Book and the Sunnah, do not intend by it a starting point, rather they consider that to be a divided call (da’wah)/approach; And because of this, they most resemble the Jamaa’ah of al-Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen.

They say their da’wah is based upon the Book of Allah and the Sunnah, however this is mere idle talk for certainly they have no ‘aqeedah upon which they are united (which unites them) – so you find some are Maatureedee, others are Ash’aree, whilst others are Soofee and even some who have no madhhab (affiliation to any particular ideology).

This is because their da’wah is built upon amassing (the people), then gathering together and culturising/instructing them, and in reality they do not really have any culture. More than half a century has passed and there has not appeared from amongst them a scholar.

As for us, then we say instruct them, then gather together, such that the gathering together is based upon a foundation in which there is no doubt.

So the da’wah of the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh is that of the Soofiyyah, they call to good manners, as for correcting the differing ‘aqeedah of the group, then they do not exert themselves one iota. This is because they believe this will cause differences (and splitting apart).

It came to pass that a brother, Sa’d al-Husayn had much correspondence with the leader of the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh in India or Pakistan and it became clear from that they acknowledge (belief in) intercession and seeking help (from other than Allaah) and many other such things. And they require their people (members) to make bay’ah (oath of allegiance) based upon four issues: amongst them the Naqshbandiyyah methodology. So it is upon every tableeghee (one who ascribes to the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh) to make bay’ah of these fundamentals (issues).

A questioner may ask: Indeed this group has corrected its faults (returned to Allaah) as a result of the efforts of many individuals and quite possibly many non-Muslims have accepted Islaam at their hands. Is this not sufficient (proof) for the permissibility of going out with them and participating in that which they call to?

So we say: Indeed we know these words and hear them a lot and know them to emanate from the Soofiyyah! For example, there is a Shaykh whose ‘aqeedah is incorrect and does not know anything about the Sunnah. Instead they deceitfully take from the wealth of the people, so together with this, many open sinners seek forgiveness from them!

So every group which invites to good, then it is imperative they should be in adherence (to the Qur’ân and the Sunnah), and (this) our approach is pure, so what are they (others) calling to?

Are they calling to adherence to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger and the ;aqeedah of the Salaf as-Saalih, abandoning blind following of the madhhabs to such an extent that they adhere to the Sunnah over and above their madhhab!? So the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh do not have a knowledge-based (manhaj), rather, their manhaj is according to the place where they are to be found, so they change their “colours” to suit themselves.
[al-Fataawa al-Imaaraatiyyah of al-Albaanee].

Shaykh, ‘Abdur-Razzaaq ‘Afeefee regarding the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh

The Shaykh was asked regarding going out with the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh to remind the people of the Greatness of Allah.

So the Shaykh said: That which is the case, is that they are innovators and those who adhere to the manhaj of the Qadariyyah and other than them and their going out is not (regarded as) in the Path of Allah, rather it is in the path of Illiyaas. They do not invite to the Book (of Allah) [There book is Fazail-e-Aamaal and Bahest-e-Zewar] and nor the Sunnah, rather they invite to Illiyaas, their Shaykh in Bangladesh. [one of their Shaikh]

As for going out with them with the intention to invite to the path of Allah, then that is (regarded as) going out in the path of Allaah but not that which is going out with the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh.

And I know of the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh from a long time and they are innovators wherever they may be; Egypt, Israel, America, Saudi Arabia and all of them attach themselves to their Shaykh Illiyaas.

Da‘wah-e-Deen Islam vs Tableeghi Jamaat
Islam The Religion Of Peace
Da‘wah-e-Deen Islam
The Arabic term da‘wah is derived from the verb ‘da’wah’ which means “to call; to invite; and to supplicate, i.e. to call on Allah (God)”. It is used to refer to the act of conveying or calling people to the message of Islam. Allah (God) Says:
“Say this is my way and I invite to Allah with certain knowledge …”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 12 Yusuf : verse 108]
Da‘wah was the basic missions of all the prophets of Allah (God). They were raised up among their respective people to call them to worship Allah alone and to abandon the worshipping of the various false Gods and Goddesses that they had invented.
Allah the Almighty Says,
“I have sent to every nation a messenger [proclaiming:] Worship Allah and avoid the [worship of] false gods.” [Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 16 An-Nahl : verse 36]
There are many verses in the Qur’an which describe how the former prophets invited their people to Allaah (God). These stories serve as examples to the last Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) and his followers. Moreover, there are a number of other verses in which Allah(God) specifically exhorts the Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) to convey the message of Islam to people. Allah the Most High, the Creator and the Sustainer of the heaven and earth commanded His Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam), to spread the message of Islam:
“O Messenger, convey what was revealed from your Lord.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 5 Al-Maaida : verse 67];
“Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good preaching.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 16 An-Nahl : verse 125] also
“Call to your Lord and do not be among the pagans.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem–Chapter no. 28 Al-Qasas : verse 87]
Consequently, Allah (God) praises those who engage in this noble venture as being the best in the speech.
“Who is better in speech than one who calls to Allah, does righteous deeds and says indeed I am among the Muslims.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem– Chapter no. 41 Fussilat : verse 33]

The best words that any human being can speak are words of guidance inviting people to the purpose of their creation; the worship of Allaah (God). This is the case, the reward for giving da‘wah must be wonderful. Thus, it is no surprise to find that the Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) addressed the great reward for this righteous pursuit saying, “Whoever directs someone to do good will gain the same reward as the one who does good.” (Sahih Muslim, vol. 3, no. 4665).

He was also reported to have said:
“Whoever calls to guidance will receive the same reward as the one who follows him without any decrease in the reward of [his follower].” (Sahih Muslim, vol. 4, no. 6470)
To carry out the work of the mission, the companions of the Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) volunteered to go out with the Da’wah-e- Deen, the message of Islam not only to the communities but also to the countries around the world to call all the human beings toward their Creator the Almighty Allah subhanahu wa ta’la.
Da‘wah is an obligation on everyone who has the physical, financial ability and the knowledge about Islam, from the scholars to Muslim rulers to spread the message of Islam to the people in every corner of the earth. Because this is the type of spreading that
Thus, it was obligatory on the Messenger (sallallahu a’laihe wa salllam) to deliver the message in the same way that has become obligatory on all of us the followers of the messengers of Allah (God) – peace and blessings of Allah upon them and upon all who follow them in conveying the message and this is the da’wah-e-Deen.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’la Says,
“Let there arise among you a group inviting to all that is good, enjoining righteousness and forbidding evil. Those are the successful ones.”
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 3 Aal-i-Imraan : verse 104]
That is Allah the Most High intends a group of the believers should shoulder the responsibility of promoting the preaching Islam and prohibiting the vice in themselves and the humanity. Because religion is not merely a personal affair as perceived in the secular West, it forms the very fabric of society.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’la the Most High Says,
“O you who believe why do you say that which you do not do. Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which do not do.
[Al-Qur’an Kareem – Chapter no. 61 As-Saff : verses 2&3]
In Surah Al-Ikhlaas (Al-Qur’an Kareem) Allah subhanahu wa ta’la commanded His Prophet (sallallahu a’laie wa sallam):
“Say: He is Allah the Unique, Allah the Self-subsistent. He did not give birth nor was He born. And nothing is similar to Him.”
The Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) also instructedhis companions and the followers to invite people to Islam and says:
“Convey from me, even if it be only a single verse.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol. 4, no. 667).
This is known as “Da’wah-e-Deen or tableegh-e-Deen” to spread Islam to the humanity ordained founded by Allah (subhanahu wa ta’la) through the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) in 610 CE.

Tableeghi Jamaat

“Tableegh means “propagation of Islam.” (Imam Irshad Soofi), “Tableeghi Jamaat” means, “(the Society for spreading faith)” seemingly is a religious movement founded by Moulana Muhammad Ilyas al-Kandhlawi in India in 1926 after 1296 years after the death of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihe wa sallam).” The movement primarily aims at Tableegh spiritual reformation by working at the grass roots level, reaching out to Muslims across all social and economic spectra to bring them closer to Islam. ‘Tableeghi Jamaat was founded in 1926 by Muhammad Ilyas al-Kandhlawi in India 1296 years after the death of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) therefore it is a new movement with new ideas apart from what the Holy Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) and his companions used to do. Though the propagation of Islam continued even after the Holy Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam), yet as claimed the operation of Tableeghi Jamamt does not have any physical link with that of the Tablig-e-Deen of the Prophet(sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam).

According to the books ‘Tableegi Nesab’ as well as ‘Fazail-e-Amal’ (in English) ‘Virtues of Good Deeds’ mainly used by the Tableeghi Jamat contain some Islamic religious text, a compilation of selected chapters from various books, written in Urdu by the Indian scholar Maulana Muhammad Zakariya Kandhlawi.
“Calling to Allah is generally considered by scholars of Islam as an obligation on every Muslim according to their physical, financial and spiritual abilities. It has been instructed by Allah in the Qur’an and by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alaihe wa salllam) in his Sunnah. Opportunities for Da’wah are limitless for the person whom Allah blesses with a love of Islam……”(Sk. A. Azeez Baaz).
It is evident that the members of the newly founded Tableeghi Jamaat mostly invite Muslims to their Jamaat only and rarely meet or approach any non-Muslim and invite them to Islam. Obviously though it is good to invite members of Muslim faith to learn and practice Islam as a Muslim should. But Da’wah-e-Deen Islam is not what the Tableeghi Jamaat do. They might be selling milk, but selling mixing water with it. For certain they do not invite non-Muslim to become Muslim: they call Muslims to become better Muslims provided they themselves become real Muslims first!
Every one of the members has to perform 3 Chillahs of 40 days each, it is obligatory to its members. The way they perform it no doubt is Bida’h! That destroys their whole intention of work as Bida’h-e-Sayyeah (SINFUL)!

Apart from that the ‘AQIDAH’ what they form in their belief and spreading is totally unIslamic. They formed and ‘Aqidah’ and believe, people who do not accept what they do shall never go to heaven because they are, as they say, Gumrah and are not Muslims. From my personal experience I am obliged to state here that in 1989 I went to the Albert Road Mosque in Birmingham UK to perform Friday’s Juma’ praye., I heard, one speaker from Pakistan (?) preached saying:
“In the Day of final Judgement, we all the human being shall be there saying ‘Ea Nafsi’ Ea Nafsi, shall be fearful and thirsty. At that moment, our habib Muhammad (PBUH) will appear there and look for the identity of the members of his ‘ummah’. All the members of his ‘ummah’ shall be identified by their shining parts of body (hands and face) we wash while we perform ablution in this world. Our habib the Prophet (PBUH) will call some angels and ask them to provide holy water (Abe Kawsar) to all the members of his ‘ummah’. At that moment, as he said, the Angels shall beg to say, ‘Ya Muahammad, these people definitely are the members of your ‘ummah’; but most of them did not join or support the movement of Tableeghi Jamaat.’ Then, as the speaker said, the Prophet (PBUH) will say, “If this is the case, don’t give these people a drop of the holy water from my ‘abe kawsar’ and will not do them ‘shafa’at'(!)

What the speaker meant? As I understood, if you are not a member of Tableeghi Jamaat, you cannot even hope to be gifted with ‘shafa’at’ of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) and will definitely go into the ‘Jahannam’ (Hell)!!!!
Tableeghi Jamaat has ‘Six’ so-called Principles the method adopted by Moulvi Muhammad Illiyas was simple. It was to organize units (called jamaat, Arabic: جماعتِ ý meaning Assembly) of at least ten persons and send them to various villages. This unit of jamaat, would visit a villag, nvite the local Muslims only to assemble in the mosque and present their message in the form of Six Principles. Muhammad Ilyas articulated six demands in the form of Six Principles which are quintessential to Tableeghi Jamaat’s teachings. Those principles are:

Tableeghi Jamaat’s 6 points Principle.
“1. Kalmah: An article of faith in which the Tableeghi accepts that there is no God but Allah and the Prophet Muhammad is His Last messenger”. This Kalima is for all the Muslims and is not restricted to Tableeghis only.
2. Salah: “Five daily prayers that are essential to spiritual elevation, piety, and a life free from the ills of the material world”
4. Ikraam-e-Muslim: “The treatment of fellow Muslims with honour and deference”
5. Tas’hih-i-Niyyat: “Reforming one’s life in supplication to Allah by performing every human action for the sake of Allah and toward the goal of self-transformation”

Chilla Saroda Bangar, a census town in East Delhi District.
Chilla (kingdom), one of the tributary states of the Aztec Empire. Chilla, an Indian pancake, made with gram flour batter, popular street and fast food.
These are what the Tableeghi Jamat people say:
“GOING OUT FOR CHILLA (40 DAYS) IN JAMAAT”

Another remedy for pride is to spend some time with the Tableeghi Jamaat for one’s spiritual self-reformation (Islaah). During this time one should be punctual with ‘zikr’ and be obedient to the Ameer (the leader of the group). Upon the request of the Ameer, one should keep giving talks as well. However, the talk should not be delivered with the intention of propagation and admonition but rather with the intention of one’s own reformation and with the intention of obedience to the Ameer.

All the means of eliminating pride and evil characteristics are found in this work of Tableegh.
“Carrying one’s own bedding, clothing’s, even some utensils and moving from place to place, serving other weak companions for the sake of Allah Ta’ala, preparing one’s own meals, eating with the other members, washing one’s own utensils, travelling on foot, sleeping on the floor in the Musjid(Mosques), sometimes tolerating the heat and cold, sometimes suffering hunger and thirst and sometimes the irregular hours of sleeping, etc. All these physical sacrifices break the strength of the nafs. Then in ‘Gushts’, tolerating the unpleasant speech of the people, adopting humility with them for the sake of Allah Ta’ala, passionately endeavouring and vexing oneself to explain to them and convince them and pleading and flattering them.”

Re: Ummah Forum.
According to the ‘Rules’ of Tableeghi Jamat, becoming a perfect member of Tableeghi Jamat one has to perform 3(three) Chillah of 40 days and nights each. To do a Chillah, one has to leave his family and local home town or union area. It is up to the Ameer of the group, who is to select a places or towns must be far away from these peoples’ own home towns so that no contact can be made with their families and vice versa! While leaving home and family, they do not have to care about their family members and their maintenance and well-beings, which is importantly required when a Muslims goes to perform fard Hajj. Chillah members are not allowed even to keep their own mobile phones with them, so that they cannot make any contact whatsoever with their dependents and superior relatives!
Their family members should be left absolutely on the mercy of Allah. So, heartlessly though no money or food item is to be left for that 40 dayes and nights for their family and the persons dependent on them!

The Tableeghi Jamat’s people do refer their doing the Chillah to the following verses of Qur’an Kareem. I do not have any idea how they can fit their Chillah to the verses they refer to:
5:26 Answered He: “Then, verily, this [land] shall be forbidden to them for forty years, while they wander on earth, bewildered, to and fro; and sorrow thou not over these iniquitous folk.”
7:142 AND [then] We appointed for Moses thirty nights [on Mount Sinai]; and We added to them ten, whereby the term of forty nights set bye, his Sustainer was fulfilled. [104] And Moses said unto his brother Aaron: “Take thou my place among my people; and act righteously, and follow not the path of the spreaders of corruption.”
Members of Tableeghi Jamat claim doing Chillah is Sunnah; but they never refer to any Ahadeeths. Because neither the Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) nor his sahabiah observe such Chillah. Chillah word does not come from the Arabic language. Therefore, the word and the observance of Chillah distance from the holy Prophet (sallallahu a’laihe wa sallam) or his companions and considered is Bid’ah; hence is sinful.
Tableeghi Jamaat is exposed!

“The movement of Tableeghi Jamaat is being utilised by the enemies of Islam as an effective instrument in their struggle to prevent the emergence of a true Islamic movement in Europe and elsewhere in the world. Hence, it is incumbent on all Muslims to disown it and discourage its activity in every way.

The book that is held by many among the Tableeghi Jamaat to be as important as the study of the Qur’an itself is the “Teachings of Islam.” In “Teachings of Islam” the Jamaat says that there is “NO WAY to gain honour, happiness, peace and tranquillity in this life OTHER THAN to adopt and firmly hold on to the work and system of Tableegh.” This statement shows that the Tableeghi Jamaat wants to be an exclusive sect of Muslims, which excludes all other Muslims who do not follow its peculiar definition of what it means to convey the message of Islam, a definition which is clearly and mistaken and far removed from the one which Allaah (swt) gives in the Qur’an. One can only conclude from this statement that all other Muslims are considered by them to be misguided.
How different this is from the actual practice of the Prophet Mohammad(sallallahu al’aihi wa sallam)!

From the day the Prophet (sallallaahu al’aihi wasallam) made his Prophethood public, the very people who held him in high regards became hostile to him.
TABLEEGHI JAMAATS ROLE IN KUFFAAR COUNTRIES:
The thousands of members of the Tableeghi Jamaat are utilising all their energy exclusively inwards towards other Muslims and leaves the Kaafir powers to pursue their Godless exploitation of the Muslims completely unimpeded. They have defined Jihad to be “spreading the Kalima of Allah and enforcing of Allah’s Commandments.” (Teachings of Islam). In the very same book, under the heading of “General Principles”, the following point is made – “No controversial matter or points of secondary importance to be discussed at any time …. and confine all talk to the main points of Tableegh.” Thus, a programme originally designed to ensure that the adherents of Tableeghi Jamaat did not come into conflict with the British authorities in India has now been extended to include all aspects of Kuffaar domination in the world. The members of the Jamaat are actually forbidden to question it at all. No wonder the enemies of Islam are delighted.
This is the reason why the Tableeghi Jamaat moves freely in Mushriqi countries in Europe and the rest of the world, while other Muslims are being imprisoned, tortured, and killed on a daily basis. In Israel, under Zionist control, the Jamaat is allowed free access to any part to do “Allah’s Work” while Palestinian men, women and children, who are opposing Zionist rule, are tortured and being killed.
The Jamaat has also flourished under the puppet governments of Muslim countries who rule in the name of the Kafir paymasters (Israel, America, Britain, France, etc.) – thousands upon thousands as well-behaved, submissive Muslims praying in their mosques, quite content to live under a system which is opposed to Islam in every way and which is openly dedicated to the suppression of true Islam wherever it emerges.

SOME OF THE TABLEEGHIS MAKRUH(?) PRACTICES:

(1) EATING AND SLEEPING IN MOSQUES :
Uninvited, they take over the local Mosques for days at a time, sleeping and eating in them and imposing their own programme in complete disregard of the actual needs and on-going organisation of the community concerned.

(2) RECRUITMENT DRIVES:
They also cause great offence to Muslims in the way that they disrupt the worship in the Mosques they visit by the announcements immediately after the Fard prayers and their offensive recruitment drives. As a result of which is to keep away from the Mosque many people who would normally be present. They encourage and force ignorant Muslims to leave their family and places of work for 3, 10, 20, 40, etc. days and go out for ‘Ghast’, while they themselves, belonging to the upper strata in society have accumulate enough wealth to live comfortable lives.

Besides, 99.9% of their devotees in South Africa belong to the Gujerati community and look down upon other ethnic groups!

(4) IGNORING THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM TO BE GIVEN TO THE KUFFAR:
They address their message solely to Muslims, the vast majority of whom are as knowledgeable as or more knowledgeable than they themselves are, ignoring the Kaafir populations among whom they move, who actually are the people to whom the message should be directed.

The Jamaat is only interested in increasing its number and wasting the energy of thousands and thousands of Muslims.
And after 40 days, these “spiritually enlightened” individuals qualify as Moulvis?

THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS:
The Jamaat claims that it is a Sunnah of the Prophets and the Sahaba and, on the other hands, it says that Moulvi Ilyas is the founder of this movement. The questions we ask, are:
1. If, in reality, this is a Sunnah of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as claimed, then it must be proven by authentic Islamic books that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and his Sahaba also used to form Jamaats and do Chillah, Ghast and Tableegh of Kalimah and Namaaz amongst Muslims.
2. Why was this Sunnah ignored for 1419 years? Do we classify all the past spiritual luminaries as anti-Sunnah?
3. If this is a Sunnah practice, then surely Moulvi Ilyas cannot be its founder. But, if he is the founder, then obviously this type of Tableegh did not exist before him. It is a Bid’ah!
It is the religious duty of the members of Tableeghi Jamaat to clarify the position with their Tableegh work and deceiving the Muslim community. The answers are obvious. This is a new movement founded by a Moulvi Illiyas and definitely not a Sunnah.
THE AQEEDA OF THE TABLEEGHI JAMAAT :
To have good and strong Imaan, one must have the proper Aqeeda. It is for this reason that we quote a few un-Islamic beliefs of the leaders of the Tableeghi Jamaat together with the proper Islamic answers. The present Moulvis and devotees of the T. Jamaat refuse to condemn the persons who wrote such bad beliefs and to even disassociate themselves from such false beliefs. The un-Islamic beliefs which we have quoted below are quotations from those individuals who possess such beliefs and by writing them in this handbill, we have no intention of Kufr.

FALSE BELIEF 1:
“Allah can speak lies”. (“Barahine Qaatia” by Khaleel Ambetwi; “Yakrozi” by Ismaeel Dehlwi; “Fatawa Rasheedia” by Rasheed Ahmed Gangohi).
ANSWER:
Lies is a defect which is not worthy of the Zaat of Almighty Allah and is totally Muhaal (Impossible) for Almighty Allah. Allah is free from all shortages and defects thus making lies Muhaal for Almighty Allaah.

FALSE BELIEF 2:
“The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) had died and is mixed in the sand.” (“Taqweeyat-ul Imaan” by Ismaeel Dehlwi).
ANSWER:
It has been stated in the Hadith: “Verily, Almighty Allah has made it Haraam upon the earth to eat the bodies of the Ambiya”. It has also been stated that Ambiya are alive and are blessed with Sustenance from Almighty Allah.

FALSE BELIEF 3:
“Every creation, no matter how big or small, is equivalent to a cobbler before Allah.” (“Taqweeyat-ul Imaan” by Ismaeel Dehlwi).
ANSWER:
The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the most beloved Nabi of Almighty Allah.

FALSE BELIEF 4:
“To think of an ox and donkey in Salaah is permissible, but to think of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in Salaah is Shirk (Polytheism).” (“Seerate Mustaqeem” by Ismaeel Dehlwi).
ANSWER:
For a Muslim to perform any Ibaadat accepting that it is a noble action of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the true sense of Ibaadat.

FALSE BELIEF 5:
Any person who says the Nabi to be Haazir and Naazir is a Kaafir. (“Jawaahirul Quraan” by Ghulaamullah Khan).
ANSWER:
Until and unless we do not accept Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as being Haazir and Naazir, the concept of Risaalat will be incomplete. Our Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is Shaahid, Mubashir and Nazeer.

FALSE BELIEF 6:
To commemorate the Meelad is like commemorating the function of the Hindu deity. (“Baharine Qaatia” by Khaleel Ambethwi).
ANSWER:
Meelad is a means of gaining blessings and closeness to Almighty Allah. It is the practice of all the great predecessors. Many sources of Shari’ah are available to prove it’s authencity. In fact, Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) observed fast on Monday as he was born on a Monday.

FALSE BELIEF 7:
If Allah wills, then he may create a million Muhammads. (“Taqweeyatul Imaan”)
A Prophet can even come after Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). (“Tahzeerun Naas”)
ANSWER:
The doors of Prophethood have been sealed.

FALSE BELIEF 8:
“Rahmatul Lil Alameen” (Mercy unto the Worlds) is not a special title of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), but the Ummati are also “Rahmatul Lil Alameen”. (“Fatawa Rasheedia”)
ANSWER:
“Rahmatul Lil Alameen” is the unique quality of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) as stated in the Holy Quran.

Any person who falsely claims to be the true Mahdi is misguided a Faasiq. Any person who says that Allaah(swt) can lie, that the Prophet’s (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) knowledge are like those of animals, that the Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is not the Final Messenger, that the swearing of the Sahaba does not make one a criminal, that the Prophet’s knowledge is less than Shaitaan, etc. IS A KAAFIR (totally out of the folds of Islam). We should not perform Salaah or associate with such persons as their companionship is detrimental to our Imaan.

IN CONCLUSION:

So it is upon every tableeghi (one who ascribes to the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh) to make bay’ah of these fundamentals (issues).

Shaykh, ‘Abdur-Razzaaq ‘Afeefee regarding the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh:
The Shaykh was asked regarding going out with the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh to remind the people of the Greatness of Allah(swt).
So the Shaykh said: That which is the case, is that they are innovators and those who adhere to the manhaj of the Qadariyyah and other than them and their going out is not (regarded as) in the Path of Allah, rather it is in the path of Moulvi Illiyaas. They do not invite to the Book (of Allah) [There book is Fazail-e-Aamaal and Bahest-e-Zewar] and nor the Sunnah, rather they invite to Illiyaas, their Shaykh in Bangladesh. [one of their Shaikhs]

HISTOIRY
Tableeghi Jamaat was originally thought out and founded in 1925 of by Maolana Mohd. Iliyas Kandhlawi, but movement was not spread at all in India!
The Bengali Tabheeghi Jamaat movement started near the City of Dhaka, Bangladesh during the 1950s. The first Ijtemas were organized in Chittagong (1954) and Narayanganj (1958), followed by Ijtemas at the Ramna Race Course in Dhaka City in 1960, 1962 and 1965. Due to the increasing rate of participants, the government of East Pakistan allowed organizers to schedule the event annually by bank of the River Turag in 1967. Later, the government of Bangladesh allotted 160 acres of land for exclusively holding this event.

The “Bishwa Ijtema” (in Bengali: বিশ্ব ইজতেমা, means Global Congregation) is an annual gathering of Muslims in Tongi, by the banks of the River Turag, in the outskirts of the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is one of the so called largest peaceful Muslims gatherings in the world. The Ijtema is known as a prayer meeting spread over three days, during which attending devotees perform daily prayers while listening to scholars reciting and explaining verses from the Qur’an Kareem. It culminates in the Akheri Munajat, or the Final Prayer, in which millions of attending Muslims raise their hands in front of Allaah (God) and pray for world peace. The Ijtema is considered a demonstration of Muslim unity, solidarity, mutual love and respect and an opportunity to reiterate their commitment to Islamic values. Some people blindly support the Ijtema as the opportunity of seeking Allaah(swt)’s forgiveness! Some do not hesitate to call the Ijtema as the small Hajj!!

Ijtema is an Arabic word means public gathering. In Bengali, the event is known as the “Bishwa” (World) Ijtema”. Bishwa means the World. The event is organized in the month of January by the Bangladeshi Tableeghi branch of the Tableeghi Jamath, who claimed is an orthodox Islami Sunni peace movement. The congregation takes place in an area which spans over five square kilometres in Tongi, an outer suburb North of the city of Dhaka, the Capital of Bangladesh.

An extensive Tent is created in the area with the help of the Government of Bangladesh. Transport is provided by state-run companies, including ‘Biman Bangladesh Airlines’, the Bangladesh Railway and the ‘Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC)’. The Bangladesh Armed Forces assists by arranging infrastructure. Despite the large number of devotees living within a confined space, generally there are very few problems of sanitation, cooking, and internal movements. It is believed to be possible because of the minimalist approach adopted by the devotees. Devotees reduce their own requirements and develop a respect for others’ requirements. During the Final Prayer, huge crowds stretch from the Ijtema ground in Tongi into the Dhaka Metropolitan area. Schools and offices are declared closed on the occasion.

1- Tablighee Istema in High Court!
As usual, this year in January people started gathering at Tongi. Every year Muslim people from India joining this movement. This year the India’s mass gathering was prevented; because from the city of Delhi Moulana Mohammed Saad Kandhalvi and some of his followers came in the arena and started forcing people to move back to India because this movement was not like by Government of India. As result there was a pathetic action ended up with some innocent killings in the Tablighiee Area. The Police were involved. Then, the case moved upto High Court of Bangladesh. Search the world’s most comprehensive index of full-text books and the Judges told that the Case of Tablighee Jamaat ended into the High Court that it was a very shameful event of Movement, and ordered the leaders of Bangladesh group the Imam of Kakrail Mosque Dhaka Moulana Jubayer Ahmed and agreed with the Judges to hold the Ijtema event on 15, 16 and 17 February this year 2019.

2 – Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan said:
Going out for the sake of Allaah does not refer to the kind of going out that they mean nowadays. Going out for the sake of Allaah means going out to fight. What they call going out nowadays is a bid’ah (innovation) that was not narrated from the salaf.
Going out to call people to Allaah cannot be limited to a certain number of days, rather one should call people to Allaah according to one’s abilities, without limiting that to a group or to forty days or more or less than that.

Similarly the daa’iyah must have knowledge. It is not permissible for a person to call people to Allaah when he is ignorant. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say (O Muhammad): This is my way; I invite unto Allaah (i.e. to the Oneness of Allaah — Islamic Monotheism) with sure knowledge” [Al-Qur’an Kareem Yosuf 12 : 108]
i.e., with knowledge, because the caller must know that to which he calls people, what is obligatory, mustahabb, haraam and makrooh.

I received the noble correspondence of your excellency (No.36/4/5-D on 21/1/1382 A.H) and that which it contains of the request directed to his excellency, the king, from Muhammed Ibn ‘Abdul-Haamid al-Qaadiree, Shaah Ahmad Nooraanee, ‘Abdus-Salaam al-Qaadiree and Sa’ood Ahmad Dahlawee regarding their request for assistance in the project of their organisation which they have named (Kulliyyatud-Daw’ah wat-Tableegh al-Islamiyyah) – and also the pamphlets that have been enclosed with their request.
I inform his Excellency that there is no good in this organisation for certainly it is an organisation of innovation and falsehood which I have discovered by reading their pamphlets which were attached to their requests. We found it to comprise of falsehood, innovation and the inviting to the worshipping of graves and shirk. Quite simply, something which (we) cannot remain quiet about.
Therefore, inshaa-Allaah! we shall put forward a refutation revealing their misguidance and falsehood.

View of the local organiser to ask Allaah to assist his religion and make high His Word, was-Salaam ‘Alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuhu [S-M-405 on 29/1/1382 A.H].
Shaykh Muhammed Naasiruddeen al-Albaanee regarding the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh
He (rahima-hullaah) was asked:
“What is your opinion concerning the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh? Is it permissible for a student of knowledge or other than him to go out with them under the guise of inviting to (the path of) Allaah?”

So he responded: The Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh does not uphold the manhaj of the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger and that which our Salaf as-Saalih were upon.
And if the situation was such, then it is not permissible to go out with them because it challenges our manhaj in calling to the manhaj of the Salaf as-Saalih. So in the path of inviting to Allaah, then an ‘aalim (one who is knowledgeable) can go out with them; but as for those (ignorant – without knowledge) who go out with them, then it is obligatory upon them to remain in their countries and (study Islam) seek knowledge in their masajid until there graduates from amongst them people of knowledge who hold study circles inviting to the path of Allaah.
As long as the situation is like that, it is upon the student of knowledge to invite these people (those from Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh) to study the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah and invite people to it.

They say their da’wah is based upon the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah, however this is mere idle talk for certainly they have no ‘aqeedah upon which they are united (which unites them) – so you find some are Maatureedee, others are Ash’aree, whilst others are Soofee and even some who have no madhhab (affiliation to any particular ideology).

So it is upon every tableeghi (one who ascribes to the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh) to make bay’ah of these fundamentals (issues).

Shaykh, ‘Abdur-Razzaaq ‘Afeefee regarding the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh:
The Shaykh was asked regarding going out with the Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh to remind the people of the Greatness of Allaah.

So the Shaykh said: That which is the case, is that they are innovators and those who adhere to the manhaj of the Qadariyyah and other than them and their going out is not (regarded as) in the Path of Allaah, rather it is in the path of Moulvi Illiyaas. They do not invite to the Book (of Allaah) [There book is Fazail-e-Aamaal and Bahest-e-Zewar] and nor the Sunnah, rather they invite to Illiyaas, their Shaykh in Bangladesh. [one of their Shaikhs]

Tableeghi Jamaat was thought out and founded in 1925 of by Maolana Mohd.

Bishwa is means the World.

Tablighee Jamat is a man made movement not supported  either by the Holy Qur’an Kareem or Sohih Hadiths is a Bida’h. May Allah help the muslims to look for the siratul mustakim and to seek Allah (swt)’s perdon!

And Allah knows best.” (Source: allahuakbar.net)
